Base for the perfect pizza





This recipe is for approximately 4 persons.

Ingredients for the dough:
900 gr white bread flour
8 tsp salt
4 tsp sugar
2 bags dried yeast (14 gr)
4 tbsp Il Primo Sinolea olive oil
560 ml lukewarm water

Ingredients for the sauce:
500 gr fresh tomatoes
1 red onion (medium sized)
2 cloves of garlic
Fresh basil
Fresh thyme
Oregano
Pepper and salt
Olive Oil Every Day (to bake in)

Preparation:
Put the white bread flour in a bowl and add the salt, sugar, yeast and olive oil. Pour the lukewarm water gradually and mix the dough until you see a nice ball. Take a tea towel and make wet with lukewarm water, with which you cover the bowl. Let the dough rise for approximately 2 hours outside the fridge. When the dough has risen, make equal balls, which you roll into a pizza base.

While the pizza dough has the time to rise, you can prepare your delicious pizza sauce. Cut the tomatoes and red onion in pieces and press the garlic. Put the red onion in the pan and fry. Add the tomatoes, garlic, basil, thyme and a little oregano. Heat all together and let it cook into a sauce on low heat for 15 minutes. Finish the sauce with some salt and pepper and let it cool down. Spread the sauce over the pizza dough and bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes on 220˚C golden brown. Choose a topping you like and last but not least add Al Peperoncino for an explosion of flavors!
